Commutes account for a large portion of our daily travel. That is why employers—both public and private—have significant influence when it comes to decarbonizing our transportation.

Here are several measures that can be implemented at the organizational level to facilitate lower-carbon mobility:

  • In France: The Forfait Mobilité Durable (FMD)
  • Implementing a carpooling solution for commutes
  • Electrifying the company vehicle fleet
  • Offering company bicycles
  • Making it easier to use bicycles on a daily basis:
    • by creating secure parking areas equipped with charging stations for electric bicycles
    • by providing showers and changing rooms
